Not completely satisfied with this one but it is what it is

The original idea was to try and draw fire but i started with the rock on the right, saw my cursor was green and thought "wow. that green really looks good with this color palette" so i added a plant. Then some water on the rock. Then the water and the original idea was completely gone. Obligatory anime girl as always

Dont look too much into the plants roots they turned out ugly so i covered them up.

Made this while listening to this song ["Messiah" Composed by Yuyoyuppe, Vocals by Alba Sera. Genre is Metal (i think)].

What holds me back the most when it comes to drawing is the obsession with everything being clean, and it is the biggest reason for which i abandon drawings. If you go to my pixiv you might notice everything i uploaded is unpolished, especially with the lineart, and thats partly because when i try to polish things more i lose motivation and partly because the messy ones end up looking better most of the time

Recently i've been watching someone on youtube who paints but without caring about all of that. It comes out however it comes out and if he makes a mistake he just paints over it or leaves it there. And the paintings end up looking good too (although a lot of commenters say they look like drawings from "a kid with an interesting home situation". i dont disagree but they still look good imo). That inspired me to try (again) to paint something with no planning and as little layers as i can (this one ended with 8 layers + one layer for some multiply strong shadows).

And a version with no color adjustment:

I do things like this from time to time, but i always forget how fun it is so i don't do it often

My process was basically 1. Draw a bridge 2. add a river because otherwise having a bridge doesnt make sense 3. grass because it looks good + a gravel(?) path, and when it was mostly done i decided to 4. add the anime girl because thats what i do
